Asuransi MAG (AMAG) has partnered with Habitat for Humanity Indonesia through the CSR Program “MAGerak Bersama – Housing Development for People with Disabilities in Yogyakarta” as part of its commitment to corporate social responsibility. This program aims to provide safe, decent, and inclusive housing for families with members with disabilities in the Sentolo area of Yogyakarta.
Housing conditions in this area are still dominated by bamboo-walled structures, dirt floors, and simple wooden and bamboo frameworks, with residents’ average monthly income ranging from IDR 1,000,000 to IDR 1,500,000. These conditions highlight the urgent need for safe and accessible housing, particularly for people with disabilities.
Several beneficiaries, including Mr. Sapari and Mrs. Kemijem, who are visually impaired, previously lived in inadequate and risky homes, featuring bamboo walls, dirt floors, and damaged roofs, which limited their safety, mobility, and independence.
Launched in October 2025, the program targets the construction of 10 housing units designed to meet accessibility needs. As of December 2025, two units have been completed, with the remaining eight units expected to be finished by March 2026.
By providing safe and inclusive housing, AMAG seeks to improve the quality of life, independence, and well-being of beneficiary families, while reinforcing the company’s commitment to creating an inclusive and sustainable environment.
